HOW TO OPTIMIZE YOUR HASHTAGS ON INSTAGRAM.

Hashtags are like road signs that direct people to your Instagram profile! Think of them as your own little Google keywords for people to discover you. They boost your visibility to people who aren’t already following you and allow you to be part of wider conversations online. That said, figuring out how to find Instagram hashtags to use is one of the biggest pain points and where many users get tripped up. How many hashtags should be using? Should you be placing them in your captions, or in your comments? And how do you know which are the right ones to use, to get you discovered by your ideal audience.

1. Take advantage of all 30 hashtags allowed per post. This may seem like alot, but it will allow you to cast a much wider net of views.

2. Always change it up. Do not constantly reuse the same hashtags in each post over and over. The best strategy to combat this would be to create hashtags sets of 30 to use interchangeably.

3. Size Matters. Always be sure to check the density of the hashtags you are using. A sweet spot is a hashtag that has about 20k to 500k posts. But also, don't be afraid to use some hashtags with under 20k.

4. Avoid super spammy hashtags. The big culprit to attracting spammers or making people think your spam are the hashtags like #instagood #happy #love & #followme
